Just like all other rumors that you might hear there are truths and fictions about Scentsy and fitness too. Myths are born when we hear something about a good tip even if we don’t have the whole story and we go and tell the next person. Maybe they even didn’t hear it right. But they innocently tell something they know, and another myth is born, again.

It’s a fact that we are more inclined to believe what we are hearing if it is appearing to come from a position of authority or someone who appears to know what they are talking about. These “rumors” can be harmful especially if the person does not do the exercise correctly. Keep reading for more on fitness and Scentsy facts and myths.

Here is an interesting partial myth, if we can say so. When you engage in aerobic exercise, your metabolism will get a terrific boost that will last for hours, maybe, beyond the actual workout. While that is a true statement, there is a caveat attached to it. The amount of calories you will burn beyond the workout will not be what you will be expecting. The reason is the actual increase in metabolic rate, for hours after the workout, is not as great as some have claimed it to be. The rate of increase is not significant, therefore the calorie burn is also not significant. One myth that needs to be squashed now is that you have to work out hard to gain benefit from your exercise routine, this is not true, even simple exercise can give you big benefits. Peaks often happen days later when you finally feel the effects of your workout. What this describes is someone who’s been inactive for a while and decides they need to hit the gym with gusto to get fit in a hurry, they often feel sore and give up shortly after. To avoid the above situation take it slow, don’t rush yourself and above all else consult your doctor first.

One myth we’ve all used at one time or another is the “I don’t have the extra time in my schedule for a workout”. Really, you only need to take about 15 minutes a couple times a week. This short exercise schedule is better than nothing especially if you can top it off with a 30 minute aerobic workout on your days off. Think about what times you have at work or with the kids? Jumping rope, taking a walk or just stretching and doing simple exercises at your desk or even in your apartment is better than not doing anything at all. Ten minutes is not that hard to find, we can all do it if we try.

No doubt you will hear all kinds of lies and a few truths about fitness in the world. Believing anything you hear can be tricky so be careful. Places like this article are great ways to confirm what you hear. Watch out for information that can cause harm if it’s wrong. Perform due diligence on everything you hear.
